Wes Cogdal (Stiff Neck Studio)

Wes 2

Capt. Wesley Cogdal is a U.S. Army helicopter pilot currently deployed in Okinawa.  In the NOCF’s founding year, 2013, Wes contributed a Stiff Neck Studio painted Necron army to the charity raffles which raised nearly $3000 for The Fisher House Foundation, a non-profit best known for its network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while loved ones receive treatment.  Wes and SNS are synonymous as he is personally involved in the contributions as both artist and owner of SNS.  He returns in 2015 with a legendary donation:  SNS will be creating a full 76-unit Malifaux army for the raffle in support of the Fisher House Foundation, one that’s fully adaptable to any faction of the player’s choosing.

Our Mission

I am proud to present our clients with over a decade of miniature painting experience. Stiff Neck Studio was created in early 2003 and I have nurtured it in its infancy as an EBay shop into the high quality miniature paining service that it is now. Every day the studio artists breathe life into our client’s visions. We strive to bring the war-gaming community the best possible product that we can. We are artists and gaming enthusiast. We truly love every aspect of the game and I can promise you it shows in our work.

Credibility, Publications & Media Mentions

Our team has artwork featured in Games Workshop’s White Dwarf magazines, Forge World’s web gallery as well as web casts from as far as Australia on Beasts of War. Armies that we do for commission routinely find their way on websites like Bell of Lost Souls (BOLS) and Dakka Dakka. We sell many miniatures on EBay and we are proud to say that we have 100% feedback on all transactions. The customer is always right and we will always go out of our way to ensure your complete satisfaction.

Notable Companies and Charities

Stiff Neck Studio believes in giving back to the gaming community that supports us. We routinely do raffle armies for foundations such as The Wounded Warrior Project, Fisher House and the Breast Cancer Society. In addition to our charity work, we also support gaming events with prize support ranging from fully painted Forge World pieces to gift certificates for studio work. We attend as many events as we can throughout the year. A few of note are the Nova Open, Adepticon, War Games Con and TSHFT.

AwardsstiffStaff

The artists that work for the studio are hand selected by me for their creativity, discipline and technical ability to meet the studios strict standards. Thus, it is no surprise that we win many awards. The artists are recipients of nearly all miniature-painting awards ranging from Golden Daemons to the Crystal Brush. Many armies painted by the studio take best appearance awards all over the world, a fact that we are very proud of.

The Way Ahead

In the future, there is only war. You can count on Stiff Neck Studio to continue to grow and provider a wider range of services to meet all of your war-gaming needs!
